I was going to help a friend build up a new system for gaming. Had every thing planed out; until i saw Newegg offering the new line of motherboards with x58 chip set, for intel i7 chips. So now i am rethinking the whole build. Should i go with the new board and chip.. or stick with 775 and x48 chip set.
Has anyone here done any research on the new chipset and chip, or have link to where there is a good comparative analysis between x48 and x58 chip set and 775 and 1366 processor. Greatly appreciate it.
I am still looking more info on these things. If i find some thing useful i will post the link here too. So for future ref. any one choose to build new system dont have to look all over and waste time.
After some research found a video. Bad ass set up with ASUS P6T Deluxe LGA 1366 Intel X58 and Intel Core i7 920. OCed to 3.8 [h] Enthusiast --- www.hardocp.com intel-core-i7-920-945-965-review

Well I've got a dumb question im sure someone can answer, i've got a 1995 chevy s10 ZR2 that is in dire need of a new exhaust system. Im replacing everything from the header back. The header to cat pipe can be ordered from Autozone no problem and I have my Cat picked out from Summit Racing. MagnaFlow 93483 - MagnaFlow Direct-Fit Catalytic Converters - summitracing.com.
The only problem i've run into is finding the right muffler... Magnaflow makes the right style I need, 2.5" Center outlet and 2.5" offset Inlet, but they have a variety of lengths that gets me all confused. The muffler currently in my truck measures about 27" case length and 35" overall length. I don't think this is the right muffler for my truck though because it hangs too low and i know my exhaust system was just cut and welded from scrap to get it to pass emissions. Does it make a difference what length my muffler is? As long as my hanger brackets line up and can be welded to fit I don't see a problem but I just want to make sure.
Whatever muffler I get ill have to have a muffler shop weld the 3 bolt bracket onto the inlet so it can bolt to the cat, and the muffler back pipe will also have to be made at the shop since im not using the stock muffler. Any specific shops I should stay away from like Midus or whatnot? | | tex's holy fuck my insurance went up and i have title in hand

So...
my insurance is sky-high. ~$500/mo. It basically goes down no matter what else I drive. Some examples:
-$110/mo for a 2001 Porsche Boxster
-$40/mo for a 97 911 Carrera
-$37/mo for a 2001 Corvette
I also finally paid off my car (06 envoy xl) the other month and have the title in-hand.
I want to get rid of it. Don't want to spend more than $20k (maybe $25k if it is something awesome.) The new car has to relatively reliable (As far as routine maintianance goes - i am not planning on abusing it). As long as it isn't a ferrari or some shit, insurance is a non-issue.
Suggestions? Emphasis on luxury, performance is a close second (I am going to look at a boxster on Tuesday.) Sedan, covertible, etc. whatever. (not another fucking SUV though)
